Vanity Lighting & Color Accuracy
CCT alone does not guarantee accurate color. At the mirror, high CRI, even frontal illumination and reduced facial shadows are especially important; 3500K is a practical neutral starting point.
Spa-Like vs Clean-Bright
3000K keeps a bathroom comfortable and residential, while 4000K is crisper and more task-forward. Layering can keep the vanity useful while allowing warmer ambient lighting.
Mirror & Fixture Placement
Good vanity lighting illuminates the face evenly. Harsh overhead-only lighting can create shadows regardless of Kelvin, so fixture output and placement deserve equal attention.
Finishes & Daylight
Tile, stone, paint, mirrors and daylight influence perceived warmth. Test the selected light against actual finishes, especially with strongly warm or cool materials.
